Throughout the first quarter of 2024, the top food delivery apps in Egypt showed varied performance on the iOS platform. Here’s a closer look at the trends in weekly downloads and active users for the leading apps in the market.

talabat: Food, grocery & more saw a fluctuating download trend, starting the quarter with 7.7K downloads and peaking at 8.2K in late January. However, downloads declined towards the end of the quarter, falling to around 6K in the last week of March. The app maintained a strong base of weekly active users, increasing from 126.6K in early January to a high of 168.2K in early March, before slightly dropping to 156.7K by the end of the quarter.

Breadfast: Groceries And More exhibited a modest growth in downloads, starting at 4.8K in the first week and reaching a peak of 10.4K in the week of March 11. Active users also showed a positive trend, increasing from 11.3K in early January to 17.1K in mid-March, before settling at 15.2K by the quarter's end.

InstaShop: Grocery Delivery had a steady download rate, averaging around 4K to 5K downloads per week. The app experienced a slight increase in active users, starting at 12.5K and reaching 13.6K by mid-March, maintaining a stable user base throughout the quarter.

Rabbit: 20 mins delivery saw a significant growth in downloads, from 811 in early January to a high of 3.8K in the week of March 11. This indicates a rising interest and adoption rate among users in Egypt.

elmenus had consistent download numbers, ranging between 1.1K and 1.4K per week. Active users, however, showed a slight decline from 52K at the start to around 47.4K by the end of March, indicating a minor drop in user engagement over the quarter.
